The Featured Produce Series highlights a local fruit or vegetable at the height of it's season. We provide nutrition information, storage and preparation tips, and a fun, easy to prepare recipe. We hope that through this series you learn about new foods, new preparation, or fun facts about local produce. The Carbondale Community Farmers Market is a program of Food Works. Food Works is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization facilitating the development of a regional food economy in Southern Illinois.
